Help Pets in Need During 31 Days of Love

Celebrate pets during October with shelter donations and pet-centered programs
 
During the month of October, Cumberland County Public Library is participating in the 31 Days of Love campaign. Every branch is accepting donations of pet supplies for animals that are sheltered at the Cumberland County Department of Animal Control and hosting pet-related programs.
For animals at the shelter, responsible pet owners can make a difference by adopting animals looking for a home. For those who are unable to adopt, donations are greatly appreciated and needed. As a fellow county department, the library is working to increase awareness of the Department of Animal Control’s services and to facilitate the donation drive. Donations can be delivered to any library location and may include pet food, cat litter, toys, flea-control products, treats, shampoo, plastic crates and carriers.
31 Days of Love pet-related programs, include movies, training programs, pet toy craft programs and even adoption events. Here are the upcoming programs:

Friday, October 6 at 1 p.m., North Regional Branch
Wednesday, October 11 at 1 p.m., East Regional Branch
Saturday, October 14 at 10 a.m., Hope Mills Branch
Saturday, October 21 at 1 p.m., Spring Lake Branch
Friday, October 27 at 1 p.m., Bordeaux Branch
